Your home didn’t sell. Here’s a fresh plan.

By CJ Norman, licensed Minnesota Realtor

If your listing expired or was canceled, putting it back online isn’t enough. I start by looking at what held it back, then build a plan to reach buyers and give them a reason to take another look.

  • Find what held the previous listing back.
  • Reach buyers with a dedicated property webpage for Google and AI search, plus neighborhood calls and texts.
  • Work with Katy and me on the preparation, marketing, and sale.

A fresh approach is worth considering

Here's how we turn this around

  1. 01

Find what held the listing back

A listing that didn’t sell leaves clues. I look at the price, photos, marketing, showing feedback, and the homes buyers chose instead, so we know what to change and what to keep.

  2. 02

Price for the buyers looking now

The right price gets buyers in the door. I study recent sales, the homes you’re competing with, and the price ranges buyers search, so any change has a clear reason behind it.

  3. 03

Give buyers a reason to look again

Buyers need a reason to take another look. Your home comes back with fresh photos, a clear plan, and new outreach ready on day one, not the same listing with a new name on the sign.

  4. 04

Make the home stand out on Zillow

Most buyers start on Zillow, where a standard listing can blend in. Zillow Showcase gives your home interactive floor plans and richer photos, and Zillow reports more views, saves, and shares for Showcase listings than similar homes.

  5. 05

A property webpage built for Google and AI search

Your home gets its own webpage, not just an MLS description. I build it around specific searches from buyers looking for a home like yours, with clear answers about the property and its location. That’s answer engine optimization (AEO): helping Google and AI search tools connect those buyer questions with your home.

  6. 06

    Call and text the neighborhood

Your next buyer may already know someone on your street. I personally call and text across the neighborhood, so neighbors can pass it along to a friend, family member, or coworker who wants to move there.

  7. 07

Show the home at its best

Buyers decide fast whether a home is worth a visit. Professional photography and walkthrough video show its best features, and I make sure those details come through on screen and when buyers walk in the door.

  8. 08

Spend on the changes that matter

Not every repair pays you back. I walk through the home room by room to help you pick the touch-ups and staging changes worth doing, so you don’t spend money on things buyers won’t pay for.

  9. 09

    Know what buyers value here

Buyers here care about different things, from school districts to acreage to lake access. I live in Mound and work across the western Twin Cities, so I know how to show what matters about your home and price it for its market.

  10. 10

Keep you in the loop each week

You should never have to wonder whether the plan is working. Each week, I share showings, buyer feedback, listing activity, and changes in competing homes, along with what I think we should do next.

  11. 11

    Protect the deal through closing

The best offer isn’t always the highest price. I look at the buyer’s financing, deadlines, and terms, and when inspection or appraisal issues come up, I work through them with your proceeds and moving plans in mind.

  12. 12

    Two Realtors in your corner

You get two licensed Realtors on every detail. My wife, Katy, and I are a husband-and-wife team, and we work together on the preparation, marketing, and sale, so you never have to wonder who is paying attention to your listing.
